Accommodations
How long are most people staying?
-
Several of Elena’s out-of-state friends (dubbed her “Something Blue crew,” since they have been asked to wear a shade of blue to fulfill the old adage) will be arriving in the area on Wednesday, October 4th to join the bride and her maid of honor Cameron for a girls’ day in D.C. In place of a bar-hopping bachelorette, the group will enjoy a brunch in Eastern Market, followed by a fun scavenger hunt through the art museums of the Smithsonian.
-
They will round out the day with dinner and cocktails. They will meet up with Aidan and his stag night crew for a few drinks at an arcade bar before returning to an Airbnb that Elena’s mother has rented for the occasion.
-
-
Similarly, several of Aidan’s friends (a mix of college, childhood, and relatives) will be arriving on Wednesday. The gents plan to spend the day at the East Potomac Golf Course before meeting Elena and her friends for after-dinner beverages.
-
Most of the guests will arrive on Thursday evening to avoid any of the major traffic delays for which the DMV is notorious.
-
Guests may choose to return home on Saturday, the day after the wedding, though some may choose to extend their visit into Sunday in order to take in some of the sights and history of the nation’s capital.

On the Topic of Children...
Children are not invited. Neither the couple nor their close family members have children. In an effort to keep guest-related costs low, the couple has made the decision to keep their wedding child-free. They recognize that some of their friends and family members may have to decline attendance in light of this decision.
The couple looks forward to celebrating with them (and their little ones) in a more intimate manner in the future!
