Transportation for the couple and their ceremony guests will be provided by D.T.S. Worldwide Transportation. The company is Black and woman-owned, which was a significant draw for Aidan and Elena. Given the economic significance of an event such as a wedding, they want to be using their funds to support diverse business owners.

To the Ceremony

SUVs will be utilized in the first portion of the day.

One will pick up the bride, her parents, and her maid of honor at the Thompson Washington D.C., where the bride will be spending the night before the wedding and taking her getting ready photos.

Another SUV will pick up the groom, his best man, and several of his other friends from their Airbnb to travel to the National Arboretum for the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, the twenty-two attendees (including the couple), will travel to the reception in two passenger vans. Each van seats twelve, so there should not be a problem accommodating everyone.

The journey from the National Arboretum to the reception at Republic Restoratives is a brief five minutes, barring any major traffic challenges.

To the
Reception

Guest
Transportation

The couple has selected both their reception venue and hotel block with ease of travel in mind.

For guests invited to the ceremony, parking at the National Arboretum is ample and free for anyone who wishes to drive. For those who are not traveling with a vehicle of their own, the Arboretum is a short four-minute drive from the guests’ hotel, allowing for low rideshare costs.

Finally, the reception location is a short five-minute walk or two-minute drive from the guests’ hotel, so additional transportation will not be provided by the couple. This decision is primarily a budgetary one and therefore played a large role in the selection of the reception venue, as previously mentioned.
