Bride's Dress
Elena will be wearing a gown from David's Bridal (style NTWG3802). She fell in love with the simple and whimsical romance of the gown. She wanted a dress that would allow her hair, makeup, and accessories to shine.
To remain both budget and eco-conscious Elena purchased her gown used from PreownedWeddingDresses.com.
Bride's Accessories
Because of the cost savings from purchasing a used wedding dress, Elena was able to splurge on a beautiful fingertip-length veil from a small business. She loves the intricate details on the veil and how the colors will complement the natural elements at the ceremony venue and in the couple's floral design.
She will be wearing a new pair of vegan heels purchased for the wedding, as well as a pair of pearl drop earring gifted to her by her parents on the occasion of her college graduation.
Groom's A-tie-ire (pun intended)
For his part, Aidan is purchasing a new suit, but also keeping sustainability in mind. His suit is made of recycled and largely biodegradable materials; the company claims that 45 plastic bottles are utilized in the construction of each suit. While a suit is definitely an investment piece for years to come, the couple feels comfortable with the knowledge that the clothing will not cause harm when it eventually reaches the end of its use.
Aidan will be fulfilling several portions of the old bride's adage of "Something old, something new," etc. While his suit, on-theme tie, and watch (gifted by his siblings) for the big day are new, his trusty brown loafers are old, but up for the job. These long-lasting articles are proof that investment pieces are worth the price for their overall environmental impact.
The Rings
The couple wanted rings that would represent their love of nature as well as one another. They also did not want to spend exceeding amounts of money on the rings, as they both live active lifestyles; the possibility of damage or misplacement is a distinct possibility. Additionally, they wanted to support smaller creators, so they chose to search for their rings on the Etsy marketplace.
Maid of Honor
For her maid of honor, Cameron, Elena has selected a dress that is affordable and versatile. The Rosewood color fits in well with the romantic theme of the upcoming event.
As another nod to sustainability, Cameron is welcome to wear any shoes and jewelry that make her feel most comfortable and "like the goddess that she is!" {Elena's words}
Best Man
Aidan's best man Wesley will be rocking a grey suit and brown shoes that he already owns. {Shoutout to the group chat fashion show for helping narrow down his choices.}
He will be wearing the same style tie as the groom but in a Slate Blue hue.
